Extra Piks
One of the things you notice about the drive from Quebec city to here is the remoteness of the area, and obviously the lack of employment. There are some small farming areas along the way, but all quite backwards and some what run down. The area seems to be mostly dependant on the tourism, and the artist community. We also noticed a number of cheese making businesses along the way. We bought some locally produced cheese not to far from here and you can really tell the quality.
We also stopped in and bought some pottery at an art gallery just outside of town.
This morning on the way to the can I stopped to look at the view from the cliffs where we’re camped. From way up here one can see the Saguenay flowing into the St Lawrence and you can clearly see whales jumping all over the place

3. It's good to see you Mom!
4. I'm jealous of the fresh cheese. Can you mail that stort of thing? :)
5. Thanks for the pictures. Very nice!!
yea mom can you mail cheese??? please.
ReplyDeletealso love the pics.
-the stove came with the trekker and works pretty good. Have no idea how much propane is left in the little propane tank though. We use the inside stove if it is raining. It is nice to live outside.
ReplyDelete-usually I'm behind the camera
-the cheese is awesome, creamy, smooth, very squeeky, mild sometimes even gritty, but not cheap. What I really DON'T understand is if we live in the 'Dairy Capital of Canada' why we have cheese made from milk powder from American cows! We should have cheese factories in every hamlet of Oxford county! (If I'm all wet on this one I hope someone corrects me.(
ah mom it isn't the first time i have heard that sentiment!! Mike is always saying that to me as well! Hmm dairy farmers kid and a cheese lover!! I guess that means you can't mail cheese hun!! I love the pic's of you and your campsite looks so homey and inviting. So inviting that you have three chairs out instead of two. Just like you were expecting company!!
